I am a married, stay at home mom with three kids, ages 6, 5, and 3. I started building beds in 2004 when my two boys needed a bunk bed. After doing much research, I found a variety of Theme Beds that were very five-star and very expensive. I decided that I would try to build one myself. It turned out good, considering I used a bunch of scrap wood and really cheap tools. After I accomplished that I wanted to start building everything from window benches to tables to book shelves. After my daughter turned two I could not wait to start her bed. I had it pictured in my head for about six months before I started. I built the Dollhouse Bed, I think it turned out really good, so that is when I came up with the idea to build affordable beds and sell them. I make the beds in my garage, mostly on the weekend when my husband is home, although, sometimes I get to go out there on weekday evenings. I really enjoy building. I do not make a lot of money, I do it primarily for the kids, so even kids that do not have a lot of money can have a Fantasy Place to call there own.
If you would like to order a bed, Please remember that it is just me building the beds, I do not have help (if I did then I would have to charge more money) and it takes time for me to build them. Unfortunately, I still have to clean my house, do the laundry, take the kids to and from school, help them with their homework, watch their baseball games, and feed everyone. Please understand if your bed is taking longer than expected.
